Based on advice and announcements from both the CDC and the Pilates Initiative, we are encouraging all members to take a proactive stance with regard to the corona-virus. This post is to help inform you on how you can best keep yourself healthy and to let you know what we are doing to protect our studio. For the time being, we will remain open but as things are changing and being updated daily and sometimes hourly, we are exploring options should we need to close and working on creating an online presence for classes for those of you who wish to stay home. We will keep you updated through emails and postings here.
We feel we can create a safe, clean & healthy environment for our members to exercise during this crisis at this moment. We believe that 'movement matters' and can help boost your immune system as well as maintain your vitality. . Should things change , we will take the necessary action as advised to us. General Health & Public Safety:
Please stay at home if you begin to feel unwell, even with mild symptoms such as headache and slight runny nose, until you recover.
Avoiding contact with others and visits to medical facilities will allow these facilities to operate more effectively and help protect you and others from possible COVID-19 and other viruses.
If you develop fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical advice promptly as this may be due to a respiratory infection or other serious condition.
Call in advance and tell your provider of any recent travel or contact with travelers. Why? Calling in advance will allow your health care provider to quickly direct you to the right health facility. This will also help to prevent possible spread of COVID-19 and other viruses.
In/Around the Studio:
Please do not come to class if you are unwell in the fear of being charged. Please let us know and you will not be charged for the session you had booked!
When in the studio, wipe down the equipment well and wash your hands frequently.
We are taking a pro active approach here at the studio - we have added anti-bacterial essential oils to our cleaning bottles washing and drying the towels every evening, wiping door knobs and all small equipment & handles down with disinfectant spray after every use. We will minimize and refrain from using props at this time as well as refraining from 'hands on' assistance. We are in this together and together we will get through this.
